No towels provided unless you pay!!! The boiler pressure dropping hindered our comfort a bit. Hair dryer malfunctioned when we needed it!!! Rusty radiators left a bad impression.

The location was lovely, offering a safe environment for my child, and the hot tub was enjoyable. Some things like the noisy boiler and the worn radiators detracted from the experience. Still, the pub served an very nice Sunday dinner and friendly peacocks visited us daily.

Lovely hideaway with cozy vibes
We spent 3 nights here and had a blast! The lodge was nice and spacious, with comfy beds and even a hot tub. It was a treat to see the friendly peacocks every morning. The Sunday roast at the pub was seriously one of the best I've ever had. Just wish the weather was better for our outings.

It was just a fine choice for a rapid stop in Calthwaite with best value. The hot tub outside added a nice touch, even if the noise was a little much at night. Just be prepared to bring your own towels if you want them.

We enjoyed our time in a cozy micro cabin with fine views and were thrilled to discover that we were just a short drive from beautiful Hutton in the Forest, perfect for leisurely walks and exploration. A fantastic local pub nearby for good food and drinks.
